Bloodhound is to Nose, as Bat is to Ears?

My girlfriend is watching Blue Seed next to me, subtitled with the original voice work of course. It just started, first episode I’m guessing. I can tell by the animation it’s old school, but whatever. Then out of no where I hear this guy talk and the subtitles say he’s too late to stop something, but I know his voice. How? I don’t really listen to anime’s orignal cast…but I do watch game previews and teasers….ah-HA!
“SNAKE!” I scream, quite similar to Colonel Campbell, for those of you in the know. As my girlfriend peels herself from the ceiling and pauses the episode, she asks what the heck that was about. “The Japanese Solid Snake, That’s his voice!” “Oh, you sure?” “I’m totally looking this up. IMDB a go-go!” “Um…ok…”
A quick click later…and a brief pit stop to ask her who exactly was talking…and BAM!
Solid “I obviously ate gravel for breakfast” Snake, baby!
Upon seeing I was right she cheered and gave me a high five. And missed. But I don’t mind, I’m cool like that. I got ears like a bat or something. Part man, part bat, part horse. It’s all good.
